Sweet Chicken Satay is a popular Southeast Asian dish made of marinated chicken skewers grilled to perfection over charcoal or an open flame.

Ingredients
- ✓500g chicken thighs or breasts, cut into thin strips or bite-sized pieces
- ✓2 cloves garlic, minced
- ✓2 shallots (or ¼ onion), finely chopped
- ✓1 tsp ground coriander
- ✓1 tsp turmeric powder
- ✓1 tbsp soy sauce or kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
- ✓1 tbsp lime juice
- ✓1 tbsp vegetable oil
- ✓1 tsp salt
- ✓½ tsp pepper
Instructions

Cut chicken into small cubes or thin strips for skewering.

In a bowl, mix garlic, shallots, turmeric, coriander, soy sauce, lime juice, oil, salt, and pepper.

Add chicken into the marinade, mix well, and cover.

Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 3 hours for better flavor.

Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.

Grill over charcoal or a grill pan for 2–3 minutes per side or until cooked and slightly charred.
